Summary/Abstract: Responsibility is an essential benchmark of life in its socio-human manifestations; at the same time, it is an important content of the educational offer for children and young people. The following pages describe the results of an interview-based survey with the participation of Romanian primary school teachers. The aim of the study was to highlight the way Romanian primary school teachers perceive the training of young schoolchildren in assimilating the value of responsibility, starting from the manner of understanding/defining the value of responsibility itself. The results allowed, mainly, to do an inventory of the current meanings of responsibility that teachers operate with in their interaction with primary school pupils, to outline the profile of the responsible young pupil and to highlight some characteristics of the pedagogy of responsibility based on the professional practice of the participants.
