Summary/Abstract: LOGIC. The chosen theme falls within the issue of personal development of preschool children, and the investigation carried out aims to explore how optional activities can represent an opportunity for the formation of independent intellectual work skills, an important premise for a successful path in the first year of school. The purpose of the research: to identify the formative-educational role of an optional program of personal development through games and exercises of attention and logic on the intellectual formation of 5-6 year old preschoolers. The intellectual skills formed through the educational intervention carried out through the optional personal development program prepare preschoolers for school activity. The hypothesis of the research: the inclusion in the educational offer of the curriculum available to the school (CDȘ) of an optional personal development through games and exercises of attention, insight and logic intended for older preschoolers creates the prerequisites for the formation of the skills of independent intellectual work / autonomy in learning and, implicitly , of the premises for a positive evolutionary personal path in the first year of school.
