Summary/Abstract: Information of residents of rural areas is an important element and prerequisite satisfaction with available social protection services. The connection between these two aspects is also visible from the findings of qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews with sampled representatives of the rural population in Serbia. Below will be exposed in which ways our interlocutors get information about necessary social services and what is their assessment of the existing services in to the extent that they had the opportunity to personally or indirectly meet the requirements in within the framework of the social protection system. At the end, the recommendations will be presented are based on the desired state from the interlocutor's point of view, which needs to be observed complementary with recommendations from the point of view of social protection service providers who will be exposed in a separate chapter.
