Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this research is to use the tools of strategic analysis to identify the factors from the macro environment that affect tourism and to propose a strategy for improving the quality of business and the sustainability of tourism organisations in the Republic of Serbia during the global crises. The research findings indicate that a strategy based on the implementation and application of international quality standards and orientation to domestic tourism products ensures the sustainability of tourism organisation. The significance of this manuscript is considered from the aspect of giving guidelines to the management of tourism organisations to improve the quality and sustainability of business in time of global crises.
