Summary/Abstract: In this study I intend to identify and present the main themes specific to the Feast of the Annunciation, reflected in the Hymn-Akathist: the parallel between the old Adam and the new Adam, the parallel between Eve and the Virgin Mary, the death that came through sin – the eternal life brought by the Savior Jesus Christ, the virginal conception of the Savior Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary and the virginity of the Mother of God. The main methods that I will approach in the drafting process are: historical, descriptive, exegetic, comparative and liturgical commentary. In the first part, through the historical method, I will present the history of the Hymn-Akathist. In the second part, by means of the comparative method, I will draw up some tables with the help of which I will present the main sources from which the author of the Hymn-Akathist was inspired, as well as the textual dependencies on the Holy Scripture and the homilies of the Holy Fathers: St. Proclus, Patriarch of Constantinople (434-446); Saint Cyril, Archbishop of Alexandria (412-444) and Bishop Basil of Seleucia (440-468). Then, through the exegetical method, descriptive and liturgical commentary, I will present the theological-spiritual meanings of the themes specific to the Feast of the Annunciation.
