Summary/Abstract: In the modern world manufacturing traditionally is one of the slightly attractive economic sectors due to the fact that it is mostly connected with doing physical work. Despite that, production itself is the sector which adds real value to the GDP of the economy. This is the main reason production is worth being analyzed in detail with the purpose of looking for methods for constant improvement and increasing of efficiency, hence the competitive advantage. The purpose of this report is to present an empirical confirmation of the significance of the organizational culture in the process of motivating employees in the production sector; to trace the specific image of the modern production organization, and to explain its relation with the motivation. In this sense the purpose of the report is to validate the significance of the cultural context and to define its specific characteristics which attract employees, retain and motivate them to invest part of their life in the development of the organization and in its economic prosperity.
