Summary/Abstract: The digitalization of the educational process and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for educational purposes are increasingly prevalent in Bulgarian schools. This report is aimed at analyzing the current state of use of AI and digital resources in the learning process and the opportunities for their implementation and adaptation in economic secondary schools and vocational high schools in the country and considering the possible prospects for their future use to achieve the best results. Specialized secondary schools and vocational high schools have been studied through a study of literary and online sources and conclusions have been drawn about the use of AI and digital resources in the learning process. Recommendations are given on the directions in which digitalization and the penetration of AI in learning and teaching processes could be expanded, and the weaknesses that their use may lead to. The main difficulties that accompany digitalization and the difficulties in introducing AI in the education of economic disciplines are outlined. An analysis of the digital technologies used and attitudes towards the application of AI in the educational process is made.
