Summary/Abstract: Over the years the arrivals of visitors to Bulgaria, in particular – those from the Schengen area member states, have registered significant changes and dynamics. The analysis of the data reveals sustainable trends, while a number of factors have a significant, but temporary impact on these processes. The aim of this study is to analyse and follow up the dynamics of the arrivals of visitors to Bulgaria and the country`s role as a destination for the citizens of the EU Member States in the context of its complete accession to the Schengen area together with Romania from 1 January 2025.
