Summary/Abstract: The present article outlines the achieved condition of research work in the Bulgarian science on the urbanization in the Bulgari-an lands under Ottoman Rule in the 19th century (until 1878). On the grounds of the performed analysis we establish the issues that have not been researched and that are insufficiently researched and the future re-searchers in this area should aim their efforts at them.
