Summary/Abstract: The text is an attempt to present a typology of the migrant community institutions in regard to: 1) their institutional categorization, i.e., if they are official or informal; 2) their purposefulness, i.e., regarding their regulation goals. The research is related to the project 'Cultural heritage in migration. Models of consolidation and institutionalization of the Bulgarian communities abroad', financed by the Scientific Research Fund.
