Summary/Abstract: Contemporary Italian writer Elena Ferrante has become world-famous since the English translations of her novels and especially The Neapolitan Quartet novels made their appearance in the libraries. Although, no one has ever seen her, she communicates via email and still, this doesn’t affect her success. On the contrary, her anonymity seems to have stimulated readers’ interest. In a case of author’s unknown identity, what prevails – mystery or quality?
