Summary/Abstract: This article tries to represent in details the spelling reforms arising in the period after the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule till 1945. Basic factors and reasons for the reforms are represented here, as well as the codification of each of the reforms in the Bulgarian literary language is pointed.
