Summary/Abstract: The paper under the title ‘’Guild and tarikat’’ considers the relation of the central government, guild organizations and tarikats and their mutual connections and functioning, primarily in provincial parts of the Empire.This work establishes that the main and unique tarikat “Tariqat-iMuhammadiyya” and individual tarikats which were under the influence and the control of the main tarikat took care not only about the preservation of the hierarchy, generally, but also about securing the hierarchy in guilds and guild groups and that they held a considerable influence in their inner organization.
