Summary/Abstract: Local government units perform tasks for local societies. It signifies that they need to administer a relevant number of real estate and manage them effectively. Due to that the question arises how to understand the effectiveness of management of local government unit real estate, how to measure it and where provide information on it. The herein study is an attempt to present the opportunities of real estate management effectiveness in local government units by means of financial and non-financial indicators.
