Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to show the linguistic characteristics of the language of the environment especially in the context of community. The theme of the language of the environment is not only a current one, but is also constantly evolving thanks to the continuedestablishment of new environmental protection law, that in turn enrich the vocabulary with new specialist terms. In addition, there are a few scientific publications concerning this language as, for example, that of Italian business or medicine. This development is primarily due to the EU policy, which is particularly concerned with environmental protection, but also due to the Italian national publications on environmental protection.
