Summary/Abstract: The article presents the designations of contemporary ICT, technological and cultural progress which finds its reflection in contemporary theories of teaching and learning. Draws attention to the multiplicity of definitions of design recognized in the context of the scope and characteristics of that term. Given the different spheres of manifestation purposeful and creative activities aimed at satisfying the needs and expectations of the modern educational process, identified three main areas of educational design aided by ICT methods and tools.
