- Summary/Abstract:This article attempts to approximate concepts related to the process of education. The subject is based on the analysis of the phenomenon in terms of philosophy. Were presented sequentially major theories of modern pedagogy, including the ancient tradition. Attention is given to the following currents: the pedagogy of the heart (Maria Vane), spiritual pedagogy of love (Arthur Bruhlmeier), radical pedagogy of humanism (Erich Fromm), antieducation (Hubertus von Schoenbeck, Heinrich Kupffer, Ellen Key), anti-authoritarian pedagogy (Alexander Sutherland Niell, Benjamin Spock Thomas Gordon), pedagogy notprescriptive (Carl Rogers, Wolfgang Hinte), Gestalt pedagogy (Olaf Axel Burow, Ruth C. Cohn, Fritz Perls), emancipatory pedagogy (Paulo Freire), Christian pedagogy personal and – existential (Fr. Janusz Tarnowski, Sergius Essen), social pedagogy- personalistic (Aleksander Kamiński), intercultural pedagogy (Hartmunt M. Griese), integral education pedagogy (Volker Buddrus, Neil Nortman, Heinrich Dauber), a critical study of education (Jürgen Habernas), deconstruction (Derrida Jasques) and postmodernism (Francis Fukuyama, Thomas Szkudlarek). Reporting on these assumptions scores, made roughly compare them in terms of the role of teachers and teaching purposes – education. Present turns out to be a challenging field for theorists of education and an opportunity to controversies, disputes about the basic pedagogy. The core diagram of modern educational theory is today the axis of the dispute, subject to a stormy public debate, waiting for verification, which will bring the time, experience and dynamic social change.

- Summary/Abstract:Cottingham’s conceptualisation of integrity as the ‘virtue of virtues’, which assumes that psychoanalytic practices promote integrity is narrowly explored. The claim that psychoanalysis promotes integrity is discussed critically, and I argue that the contrary, citing empirical evidence from psychological research to support my position. The article concludes with general remarks on integrity and its place in a well-lived life.

- Summary/Abstract:The article presents the designations of contemporary ICT, technological and cultural progress which finds its reflection in contemporary theories of teaching and learning. Draws attention to the multiplicity of definitions of design recognized in the context of the scope and characteristics of that term. Given the different spheres of manifestation purposeful and creative activities aimed at satisfying the needs and expectations of the modern educational process, identified three main areas of educational design aided by ICT methods and tools.

- Summary/Abstract:The article presents the problem of the progressive ageing of societies, which highly developed countries have been tackling already since the mid-20th century. The author describes the way elderly people are perceived by the rest of society and the possibility of rendering aid and support to them by their closest environment and by public institutions. The most important needs and expectations of the elderly have also been listed. Attention has been drawn to the need of self-development throughout one’s lifetime, not excluding old age, and to the growing necessity to lead an active life in one’s post-productive period.

- Summary/Abstract:From 01.08.2011 r. until 31.07.2013 r. CKUiP, together with seven European partners, implemented a partnership project of Grundtvig called INCLUSIVE – Involving New Communities of Learners Using Socially Inclusive – subsidized by Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji (Foundation for the Development of the Education System). The partners in the project were educational institutions from Lithuania, Latvia, Great Britain, Hungary, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Germany. During the Project seven partner meetings took place, one in each of the institutions involved in the project. 16 students and 13 teachers of CKUiP went on partner meetings in the involved countries. The main objectives of the Project was to share good practice regarding the use of such media as, for example, Google, Facebook, Skype, Prezi or Moodle in educational process, creatining e-learning courses and using new technologies to organize multimedia conferences. The added value of the partner meetings was to learn about the culture and traditions of different countries and to establish international contacts. In addition to trips, students had the opportunity to participate in workshops and meetings in the field of personal development and navigating the labour market, led by a professional counselor in CKUiP in Zielona Gora. The Project met all expectations and brought a new, valuable experiences for its participants. It allowed to get some patterns from ideas already implemented by our partners in different regions of Europe and it let us compare our actions to the European standards. The Project was positively assessed by the National Agency and its effects entered permanently in the profile of CKUiP.
