Summary/Abstract: In the current social situation, education systems, work styles and living models evolve dynamically. This means individuals need to adapt to reorientation and modify the accepted and consolidated action models. Successful transition to the knowledge-based economy and society must be accompanied by increased stress on lifelong education. Member states are encouraged to develop coherent strategies and practical measures within their competences aimed at the growth of widely available lifelong education. Education and vocational counselling is an important component of the lifelong education process. This type of knowledge and skills, passed efficiently, shapes attitudes and triggers motivation to act in relation to conscious and responsible professional and personal development.
