Summary/Abstract: The article presents the most important stages of development of machines used by man in work, especially thinking machines and devices in the field of artificial intelligence. Positive aspects of the use of smart devices, and areas where thinking machines support human work, are presented. The risks associated with the development of artificial intelligence and work automation have also been shown.
