- Summary/Abstract:The article discusses the treatment of human labor as a means of meeting various needs in the context of A. Maslow’s theory of a hierarchy of needs. Listed hierarchically, the following needs: physiological, safety, belonging, esteem and self-actualization are reflected in the forms of work performed by people. There is a clearly visible link between the methods of satisfying needs and forms of work (and more generally: conscious human activities) such as hunting, gathering, slavery, feudalism, craftsmanship, wage labor in industry, intellectual work. At a certain stage of development of forms of work, dependent on the progress of technology and civilization, the need to humanize human activities arose, elicited by praxeological, economic and ethical considerations. The modern stage of development of forms of work is characterized by the fact that its implementation requires more and more intellectual and emotional involvement from a person, and to a lesser extent physical effort. Subsection 2 defines this stage as the intellectualization of work and presents its relationship with the development of technical measures to perform work. One effect of these changes is a specific load put on a person performing work using various technical measures that do not lead to an increase in the humanization of work. The next subsection presents the most important manifestation of the humanization of technology – the origin and development of ergonomics. It demonstrates ergonomics’ Polish roots and references to other sciences relevant for the humanization of work, such as management theory and environmental protection. The conclusions include a summary of the characteristics that intellectualized and humanized work should possess, and that could bring the employee closer to feeling the most desirable state: satisfying the need for self-actualization.

- Summary/Abstract:The research objective is to prove the trends that concern labour sphere and social and labor relations under the conditions of the knowledge economy formation, their impact on the compensation policy, and to outline the main directions of the compensation policy development under the conditions of the labor intellectualization. An analysis of the current trends in the economy and society has showed that under the conditions of the knowledge economy formation the nature and content of the work have changed, the social and labor relations have become transformed. It has been highlighted trends in the labor sphere and social and labor relations: labor intellectualization, automatization and computerization, innovative component of labor activity, flexibility, labor virtual component, demand for “cross functional” employees are increasing, individualization of social and labor relations is growing, emphasis in management from human resources management to talent management is changing. It has been determined that the transformations of labor sphere and social and labor relations dictate the need to attract and retain competent, talented, innovationoriented employees, establish socially responsible attitude to work and its results, determine change in the compensation policy. New directions for development of policy of staff remuneration have been proved that include the individualization of labor reward, the development fair, transparent compensation models of labor remuneration, the provision of meaningful, structurally well-balanced, decent compensation packages in accordance with the dominant employees’ needs and the market price of labor, the employees’ contribution into the business results.

- Summary/Abstract:Changes in the driving forces of the development of the economy and society have been scientifically substantiated and a new hierarchy of the above-mentioned changes has been reflected. The dominant importance of knowledge, information and innovations in the formation of a new economy has been proven. The main features of the new economy have been singled out. The author's vision of the theoretical construct of innovative work has been described. The phenomenon of labor has been considered in two plans – as a process and as a resource. The genesis of the concept of "innovation" has been investigated and its understanding with respect to the sphere of labor has been expanded. Modern vectors of the transformation of the content and nature of labor in line with innovation have been determined. The format of the sphere of application of innovative labor as the processes of creating, implementing and using innovations has been considered. The results of innovative labor implementation has been divided into two categories – results that do not have market valuation and are not subject to commercialization and results that have market valuation and are subject to purchase and sale. Socially-economic forms of innovative labor have been scientifically grounded. The peculiarities of innovative labor as a labor of postindustrial type have been determined. An assessment of the scope of the spread of innovative labor in the economy of Ukraine has been carried out. The range of opportunities and threats created by the new economy for economically active people in the context of labor innovation has been determined.

- Summary/Abstract:The current state with social adaptation and professional rehabilitationis of persons with vision impairments analysed. Intellectualization of labor of persons with vision impairments in the modern information society is becoming possible through the doing them of professional computer training in professional and higher educational institutions significantly expands them the opportunities for social adaptation and professional rehabilitation and inclusion in labor relations. Some competencies of invariants for professional computer training persons with vision impairments on the basis of psychological and pedagogical characteristics of their the intellectual and logical ability and willingness to exercise information and communication in the social and labor relations has been worked out.

- Summary/Abstract:The article considers the concept of innovative development of an organization based on the active use of the policy of implementing socially responsible practices in the production and management environment. The idea is advanced that the paradigm of corporate social responsibility in modern conditions is the most important tool for implementing innovations in business organizations. Inasmuch as the main dominant of the new economy of the 21st century is the notion that the main capital is not natural resources, but human potential and trust in the company (brand). The study also focuses on the fact that the formation of socially responsible behavior in the entrepreneurial environment can be realized only if the state actively participates in its progressive policy to create an effective environment for promoting the popularization of socially responsible practices of business organizations. And the social orientation of business in the context of globalization and aggravation of competition becomes a driving factor in increasing the competitiveness of the company and the national economy of Ukraine.

- Summary/Abstract:The society is driven by the cyclical effect of the technological progress, which transforms the economy and changes the demand and supply notions within the labor market. However, today's changes, namely the 4th Industrial Revolution, have a number of features, among which the most significant is transforming the role and place of people in the production, economy, and life. This notion has both positive and negative trends. On the one hand, the potential of some economies will grow, thereby bringing high profits; however, on the other hand, many people will be unemployed, which once again requires much effort from the state and business to equalize the imbalance between supply and demand on labor sources. The authors of the article attempted to reveal the basic trends of the 4th Industrial Revolution in Ukraine, to predict some possible risks and changes, and to justify the strategic directions of the country's development in face of the new environment.
