Summary/Abstract: Cultural linguistics addresses language in its complexity, from syntax to semantic and pragmatic meaning, as well as the discourse structure, and seeks to explore how all these levels can be associated with certain cultural conceptualizations. The basic prerequisite on which it is based is that certain traits of human languages are embedded in such cultural conceptualisations as cultural schemes, cultural categories and cultural metaphors.
