Summary/Abstract: Considering the global financial and political crisis, drug trafficking turns into major financial resource for certain countries, terrorist organizations, paramilitary structures, threatening the health of society as well as the national security of all countries.The traditional trafficking routes for the synthetic psyhoactive drug fenethylline, known as “Captagon”, from Eastern Europe to the Arabian Peninsula have been analyzed alongside the reasons for establishing new ones.The study is relevant given the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East. The methodology used is based on analysis and use of a deductive methods to formulate solid conclusions.
