Summary/Abstract: A disintegration-cavitation pump design is proposed for finely grinding a solid phase and dispersing it in a liquid phase in order to obtain stable suspensions.The pump design includes a suction section, a cavitation zone and a pressure section. A methodology is proposed for the structural dimensioning of the basic elements depending on the hydrodynamic mode of operation, the dispersion composition and the physicochemical characteristics of the grinding material. It has high performance and small gauges.
