Summary/Abstract: Adjectival phrases, also called complex adjectives, are complex lexical structures that occupy the same position and have the same function that simple adjectives. The study presents the characteristics of this type of lexical units and the difficulties encountered in the process of linguistic analysis from the point of view of natural languages processing. We present in detail the two basic notions that build the article title. Note that this type of constructions has specific characteristics and the degree of fixedness is different. For this objective we present these characteristics and their aim to the recognition of adjectival phrases and its translation.
