Summary/Abstract: Looking at the most significant events in the past 3-5 years in the field of security and defense, we can come to a somewhat unexpected conclusion, namely that they are a kind of prologue for far greater transformations. Many of them are connected, directly or indirectly, to each other, but to each of them individually, we can draw some conclusions. Looking at these conclusions, we can assume the direction in which the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) should develop in the future and whether or not the creation of a single European armed forces is needed.
