Summary/Abstract: Through the prism of the European education policies and contemporary scientific developments in the fields of psychology and professions is introduce a new understanding of the physical training of the servicemen. In the context of the specific peculiarities of the military profession, is clarifies the essence of the motor competence in the structure of the professional readiness. It defends the thesis of the necessity of its purposeful formation in the process of education in the military education institutions.
