Summary/Abstract: Three centuries after his death, we think of what St. Antim did. God preferred him for the Romanian people, to light and shepherd him on the way to His Heavenly Kingdom. We know that he loved this country, that he dignified the Romanian hierarchical authority against the foreign interference. He was faithful, sincere, diligent, and generous. He has been brought in Wallachia and left, being sent, as a pilgrim and non-earthly as a hand of God extended to a nation with lights and shadows in its multi-secular history. The man, the minister, the hierarch, and Saint Martyr Antim of Iberia became a good Romanian and chosen martyr.
