Summary/Abstract: St. Anthim the Iberian was a great founder of Romanian culture. He was not only concerned with the sacred books but also with the accessibility of the Romanian people to the words of God. This has been done, among other things, through philosophy. The examples he gives from the wisdom and life of ancient Greek philosophers lead to a better understanding of Christian morality but offer the opportunity for believers to meet philosophy.
