Summary/Abstract: Despite positive changes that have been taking place for some years to the benefit of disabled individuals, the undertaken actions remain alarmingly only slightly effective. Social participation of this group is still of a declarative character, as rarely are the proposed solutions consulted with the disabled persons. To actually improve quality of their lives and functioning in the society, there is a need to change the social policy in such a manner as to popularize the participation of those persons in all spheres of life.
