Summary/Abstract: Although young disabled people are in a special situation in the labour market due to their young age and disability, rarely were they target group of projects and other activation measures. The aim of the article is to show the increased interest in the problems of young people in the labour market and extending the scope of labour market activation policies available for young disabled people. The article describes activation measures for young disabled people before 2014 and the increase of interest in supporting this group following the introduction of the “Youth Guarantee” programme and raising the upper age limit for defining youth. Moreover, the paper examines ways to implement the “Youth Guarantee” in Poland, i.e. projects co-financed under the Operational Programme “Knowledge Education Development” and the support offered by the Voluntary Labour Corps. The article also discusses the determinants of the effectiveness of projects activating young disabled people. The discussion is based on the results of qualitative research conducted by the author on the situation of young disabled people in the labour market.
