Summary/Abstract: The subject matter of the paper are instances of competition between different linguistic means of expression of the complex content ‘relative sequence’ in Bulgarian and grammatical asymmetry between Bulgarian and Czech in this area of verbal variation. The paper examines word forms of indicative relative future in Bulgarian and some of their functional equivalents in Bulgarian and mostly in Czech. The purpose of the paper is to study the theoretical grounds for choosing one or another solution in the translation of the mentioned verbal forms from Bulgarian in Czech.
