Summary/Abstract: The author shares his own good practices of harmonizing the relations between the present-day technologies and handling with the text. In the spirit of constructivism the report shows how students’ online activities, their speech and perception of the world can become an effective part of the teaching process by interacting with the didactic examples in class. The author introduces units of specific lessons in which passages from youngsters’ chat rooms and advertisements with dialectal and slang forms are analysed. The interaction between speech and technologies can be achieved by activities, which were in the marginal part of the pedagogical interest – graphological analysis (in its simplest form), use of emoticons and paralinguistic means. The fusion of low and high genres, avoided by methodology, but at the same time offered online, provokes the active use of laughter and jokes in class.
