Summary/Abstract: In 2002, a large free associative experiment took place on the territory of two capitals in Europe and the Middle East – Sofia and Amman. Associative Bulgarian-Arab language models were created (Issa 2003), which explain the contrasting thinking of Bulgarians and Arabs, as well as the touch points between them. The last model, called the “intersections point model,” offers an appropriate way of communicating. For the purpose of this study, in 2017 the experiment was repeated on a smaller scale with Arab refugees on the territory of Sofia. In it the words stimulus are in line with the new conditions of life in the complex situation created during the influx of refugee waves in Bulgaria.
