Summary/Abstract: The subject of the present report are stable comparisons with the characteristic of comparison which is color in Bulgarian and Russian languages. It is part of a larger linguistic and linguoculturological study on stable comparisons in Bulgarian and Russian languages. Stable comparisons are chosen with the next characteristics which are the basic colors like white, black, red, green, blue, yellow and gray. Material is excerpted from dictionaries and supplemented by examples from the Bulgarian and Russian national corpora. Equivalent relations are established. Also, it established how universal and nationally specific these comparisons can be.
