Summary/Abstract: The issue of discrimination is now becoming even more relevant with the implementation of Paragraph 43 of the Academic Staff Development in the Republic of Bulgaria Act according to which the institutions of higher education shall be obliged to adopt the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the Code of Ethics. Their implementation in the applicable law is a new phase in the development of science and is part of the improvement of the regulations regarding the recruitment and professional development of researchers
