Summary/Abstract: Based on information from an empirical sociological survey, key aspects of attitudes towards immigrants arriving in Bulgaria over the last few years are discussed. The influence of the main determinants of attitudes – perception of the threats related to their presence, socio-demographic and cultural characteristics, experience in intercultural communication of the local population is also studied.
