Summary/Abstract: The influence of extreme climatic phenomena on the volume of yield and the quality of grapes produced, according to the soil and climatic conditions of growing – extremely low and high temperatures, frost damages, sun burn, hails, torrential rains, storms, soil erosion, drought, and possibilities to reduce the damages caused by them, have been researched. The ways of combating the consequences of the negative effects of natural factors have been pointed out, aimed at increasing the efficiency at a sectoral level, and supporting the sustainable development of Bulgarian viticulture and wine production.
