Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the doomed to failure efforts to break the bond between writing and the biographical personality of the author, to erase the traces of his biography. Emphasis is put on the responsibility of the writer to the society in which he lives. It is pointed out that the modern paradigm, outlined by the chaos theory, the catastrophic theory, dissipative systems, as well as by the so called “butterfly effect”, puts in a new light the possibility of the writer to have an effect on the social system.
