Summary/Abstract: One can not speak of a competitive nation as well as of assuring national security if education is not a priority area for political decision-makers in any country. From this point of view, we believe that identifying funding sources and allocating the amounts needed for the system must be a priority for any political decision- maker. The Romanian education system will, in our opinion, not be able to perform without adequate funding and without a very well-qualified and motivated human resource.
