Summary/Abstract: The Defence Fund was launched on 7 June 2017, when the European Commission officially went public with this issue. This Fund is composed of different public funding tools that have to finance Research and Development (R&D) projects for military purposes. The main receivers are the companies and some applied research groups. The main area of interests are the autonomous systems (including drones), intelligence-surveillance, cybersecurity, and maritime security.
