Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to introduce some controversial issues that the civil courts in the Republic of Bulgaria have faced regarding the protection of intellectual property rights over video games. This article will investigate the complex legal nature of these specific intellectual creations of the mind and will raise the question of co-authorship over a video game and/or its components.
