Summary/Abstract: In case of food incidents or food intoxications caused by use of unsafe foods, a serious public interest is provoked, expecting actions to ensure the consumers health. Improving food safety and ensuring the health and life of consumers is a strategy for the behavior of all actors in the food chain, from governmental and non-governmental institutions, to food producers and retailers, to the final consumer target groups. The purpose of this report is to review and analyze the current regulatory mechanisms and requirements for food chain risk management for compliance with food safety policies.
