Summary/Abstract: This report looks at the trends in the management of regional development and security in the South West region (SWR). He has for object the developments planning region in Bulgaria – Southwest. Subject are any trends in the management of regional development in the region under consideration. The topic is relevant in the context of the forthcoming new zoning of Bulgaria and negotiated transition from 6 to 4 region. The purpose of this report is to give an aggregate picture of the status and trends of the development of some key indicators of social-economic development of SWR (South West Region) and on this basis to make an assessment on the management of regional development and security in the region. This report looks at the trends in the management of regional development and security in the South West region. He has for object the developments planning region in Bulgaria – Southwest. Subject are any trends in the management of regional development in the region under consideration. The legislative framework of the report is set by Law for regional development (LRD) and other regulations.
