Summary/Abstract: Natural wicker (willow twigs, reeds, grasses, small roots, etc.) has been used to meet the needs of human communities for a very long time, dating back to prehistoric times when humans started mastering natural resources. People’s close relationship with nature allowed them to become acquainted with its rules and with the opportunities for exploiting, sometimes even aggressively, the abundance of raw materials surrounding them.
