Summary/Abstract: Level of education has a significant impact in assessing the cultural level and quality of human capital in the region regarding to age, gender and educational level for the whole population. The paper presents changes of education level of population in the period 1991-2011 and interregional differences based on the census data of Czech population. The development of unemployment rate and average age of population in each education category is also mentioned. Significantly different from other regions is Prague having the oldest population, the highest education level and at the same time the lowest unemployment rate.
