Summary/Abstract: Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, is shining example of innovative and progressive city. Especially in one particular policy - free public transport. Fare free public transport became very articulated policy just before local election 2014 in several Slovak cities. Many politicians, inspired by Tallinn, had free public transport policy as the major point of their political agenda. This article is devoted to free public transport policy in Slovak city Žilina. It analyses presentation of the policy in the city and perception of the policy by the politicians who advocate proposal and implantation plan.
