Summary/Abstract: The content of the publication refers to the issue of values in the perspective ofintegral education. Integral education is related to the personalistic vision of a humanbeing because it emphasizes the educational inseparability of the mental, spiritual andphysical spheres. In this perspective, the category of love in upbringing is importantbecause it has a coordinating and harmonizing role for other values that are thesubstance of upbringing. In the work, different insights of love were referred to in theunderstanding of Thomas Aquinas, Max Scheler, Dietrich von Hildebrand andcontemporary authors. Love in upbringing is a value that opens one up to othervalues such as beauty, truth and goodness. It also promotes the child’s spiritualdevelopment.
