Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to Andrzej Loeaechius’s Muza gor wielickich created in 1608, in which is reported a travel to Wieliczka. The author focuses on the salt mine and its realistic portrayal — its aspects, prevailing conditions and miners’ work. Moreover, the article discusses the issue of the poem’s authorship, construction as well as the analysis and the interpretation of the text.
