Summary/Abstract: The article deals with three Bulgarian novels published in the last few years: Saint Wolf (2018) by Elena Alexieva, Peace Be upon You (2018) by Emilia Dvoryanova, and The Bell (2016) by Nedyalko Slavov (most attention is devoted to Alexieva’s work). On the one hand, these novels legitimize the „return of the religious” as a phenomenon in contemporary Bulgarian culture. On the other hand, they have their own peculiar approach to the artistic recreation of the „issue of Faith.” It is through this novelty and difference that they signal an upcoming change in some fundamental traits of Bulgarian narrative fiction.
