Summary/Abstract: Mercy is one of the main thread of the history of Christianity. This topic is also important to write down the Fathers of the Church. An important period in the evolution of the concept of charity in the Christian life was a historical time in which to live and work came to the bishop of Carthage, or holy Cyprian. The approach to the problem of mercy was more practitioner than a theorist, and therefore in his works, we see how the historical realities shaped his view of the virtue of mercy.
